Busy Week!!!

So, I haven't updated in a while, and this week has been pretty busy. First off, my darling little brother Brody came home from his mission in Argentina on Wednesday, it was so exciting to see him and have him meet Kyra. She was drawn to him immediately. It was so cute, I asked him to only speak Spanish to her to see if she will pick it up, seeing as she is only 16 months old. I'll keep you posted on how that goes and I'll try to post some pictures.
Yesterday we got up early and drove down to Orem to spend the day cheering on my little sister during her State Drill Team Competition. For me, it's really fun and exciting to go watch her dance. I loved drill when I was on it so it's special for me to see how much she loves it too. She is a senior this year so it was her last competition for Silverline, let me tell you...they did excellent! State is such a hard competition and so many teams that it is hard to place, but they made it there! My parents, brother and I sat for ten hours and cheered on my girl! I'm so proud of Chelsea, she made me proud!

NeW yOrK, nEw YoRk!

Sorry, It's been a while since I have posted anything, I'll try to make up for it now.

I was lucky enough this past month to go to my new favorite place in the world, NEW YORK CITY. My best friend Cashmiere was getting married in Connecticut and I had to fly into JFK to get there, so I decided to make a long trip out of it and stay in the city for a few days with some friends I knew from St. Thomas.

September 4th, I left Kyra with my parents (who are wonderful) and took the red eye flight to NYC, I landed around six-thirty in the morning and was met there by Amaris. Now she and I had never met before, but we have mutual friends and she was nice enough to come and hang out in the city with me all day. Amaris is awesome and we had so much fun walking around the city, (side-note, do not wear heels when walking thru NY) I had to buy three different pairs of shoes before finally finding a pair that did not hurt and/or cut my feet.

We decided that it would be cool to go and see the Empire State Building, pictured above. It took about two hours to get to the top but it was so awesome to get a birds-eye view of the city...Have a look.

We decided that we would meet up with my friend Baker, since he had moved up from St. Thomas to the city, it was so great to see him. Baker, is a chef, ha ha, a really good one I might add, so he invited us for some drinks and dinner at his restuarant in Manhattan. We went there and waited for my friend Jartu to meet us there from the airport.

This Baker and I before he went to work...

Jartu landed and met us at the Restuarant, where we had drinks and awesome conversation for the next couple of hours. We needed to catch the train up to Connecticut that night, so we said our goodbyes and headed to Grand Central, and took the train up to New Haven, Connecticut.

In Connecticut, Amaris drove Jartu and I up to Shelton, and we got to the hotel where all the rest of our friends from St. Thomas were staying. It was so exciting to see all the girls, but it was late, and we had a busy couple of days ahead.

September 5th was a girls day, we all got up and ate breakfast and went to get our nails done for the rehearsal and dinner that night. It was nice and relaxing, we went to lunch and back to the hotel to get ready for the rehearsal.

The rehearsal went great and the dinner was at a awesome Italian restuarant in Shelton, CT. Cashmiere and Rich gave an awesome toast and we had such good food and wine and an great time with all of our friends.

More...on the wedding and New York to come!

Yesterday was Valentines day and I wasn't really looking too forward to it, being that I am single and it was a rather crappy day with the weather. But I had an amazing friend call me and ask to take Kyra and I to dinner with his family. Kevin made my entire day because he was so good to me and his family ate Kyra right up. It's so nice to know that there are people out there that still care for you and want to help you out and see you happy in a situation where it is easy to be discouraged. So, anyways, Thanks Kevin! I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day! Love you all...Muah!

So I'm just trying to figure out to set up my page, since I am so behind on the times. It seems like all of my old friends from high school have blogs and I really am interested in seeing how everyone is and all the new adventures they have going on. This is my little baby girl and the love of my life Kyra, those of you who know me well know that she saved my life and I am so happy that she's here. She has such a little personality already and I never knew that I could love somebody else so much. She trusts and loves me unconditionally and there is no greater feeling than that. I truly am so blessed.
